The Samford University Track and Soccer field was built for Samford's entrance into the Southern Conference. It's inaugural event was the SoCon Track and Field meet. Samford's expectations of the facilities performance were to meet the demanding regulations of the NCAA of Championship performance facilities. The track and track surface include a Mondo finish, to the same specification of Olymipic track standards. Additionally, the turf surface is a synthetic surface that offers optimal playing conditions year-round.
The Samford Track and Soccer Field was procured using the hard bid method.
